Dorset Buttons

I had hoped to include a "How To Make Dorset Buttons" post this week. Time has got away from me. I have drafted the instructions but I need to double check them to make sure that everyone can understand them. I have included a photo as a teaser.

Dorset Buttons , or Crosswheel buttons as they are sometimes

referred to, are an interesting way to embellish any project. Cover with a fine thread and they lend an elegant finish. Use yarn and add to your knitting or crocheting for a chunky look.

The image has Dorset buttons covered with a variety of my hand dyed threads including silk, rayon, stranded cotton and cotton 4 ply.

From the 29/03/07 until the 31/03/07 I will be exhibiting some of my Kumhimo Braids at the Freedom Art exhibition in Caboolture. In addition to the exhibits I will be selling my Braid Kits and Marudai. if you are in the area be sure to pop in and say hello.

If you can't make it and are interested in the kits or marudai visit my ebay store.
