Beaded Kumihimo

Our good friends Ros and Terry recently returned from an extended holiday in Europe. They brought me back this gorgeous pendant. While it had a leather strap Ros thought I would enjoy making a braid to compliment it.

While I was considering my braid structure options I came across this length of Braided Silk. I couldn't remember why I had originally made it but the colour as perfect for the pendant. I added some gold and bronze seed beads in a spiral pattern.

This is how they look together.

There is enough of the original braid left so that I can make a bracelet or two. I might go do that now. Dinner can wait.
